Ruth Curtis

Ruth L. Curtis, age 89 of Toledo passed away Wednesday, August 10th, 2011, quietly in her sleep after a lengthy illness. She was born October 29th, 1921 to Joseph V. and Goldie L. (Shufeldt) Riley in Toledo. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her grandchildren and watching them swim in the backyard pool. Ruth enjoyed knitting and she always put her family's need before her own.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pam (James) Ray, Raymond (Regina) Curtis, Brian Curtis and Donald (Barb) Curtis; grandchildren, Treena (Ronald) Swartz, Jonathan (April) Curtis, Amy Curtis and Ashleigh Curtis; great-grandchildren, Alexandria Curtis, Angelina Johnson, Gabriel Swartz, Zander Swartz, Jonathan Curtis and Gavin Curtis. In addition to his parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond K. Curtis; son, Alan Curtis; four brothers and one sister.

The family will receive guests Friday from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
