Ruth Badyna

Ruth Alice Badyna, age 85, of Kingston Residence of Perrysburg, died, Sunday, February 25, 2007 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. She joins in heaven her beloved husband of 56 years, Edmund Badyna, who died in 2003. Ruth was born June 20, 1921 in Iron City, Tennessee. She moved to Toledo in 1945 and married Edmund on October 19, 1946. Ruth was employed with the former Save Electric Company until retiring in 1971. A devout Christian, she was a member of Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ruth enjoyed collecting antiques and loved to cook her southern specialties for her family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be forever missed by her family.

In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Brenda (Jim) Keller; Kathy (Steve) Everhart and Michael (Karen) Badyna; grandchildren, Tony (Kim), Christopher and Chad (Laura)Keller; Steven and Leslie Everhart and Emily and Kurt Badyna; great grandchildren, Jessica; Austin; Scottie;Ben and Will; sisters, Movaline Canerday and Rachel Tidwell.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) and Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Resurrection Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2250 S. Holland Sylvania Rd. where Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Kenneth Mellon. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
