Rusty L. Phalen

Rusty L. Phalen, age 59, of Petersburg, Michigan, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at home surrounded by loving family. He was born on September 1, 1955 to John and Luella Phalen in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Rusty was employed with YRC (Roadway Corporation) for 34 years before retiring in 2010.

Rusty is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Amanda (Clark) Phalen; daughters, Haley Phalen, Morgan Phalen, Lauren (Daniel) Dubiel, Leslie (Jesse) Karkheck and Madeline (Grant) Boss; grandchildren, Evan, Hayden, Conner, Cora, Melanie and one grandson on the way; brother, John (Sharon) Phalen; sister, Candy (Wes) Busdiecker; and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
