Russell J. Osborn, age 83, passed away on November 29, 2018. He was born on February 23, 1935 to the late Anna and John Osborn in Toledo, Ohio.
Russ was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an avid football fan and played himself while attending Macomber High School and during his time in the service. Russ was a member of the Maumee Elks and the Carpenter's Union. He loved boating, fishing and Blue-Grass music.
Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife of 57 years, Helen; children, Tim and Suzette (Rob) Hall; sister, Mary Ann (Gary) Smith, grandchildren, Emma and Jacob; and many close family and friends. Russ was preceded in death by his daughter, Lynette.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Russ's name may be made to: Ohio Living Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
