Russell H. Combs, age 84, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 11th, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg, surrounded by his loving niece, Cindy Webb and nephew, Timothy Combs. He was born March 30th, 1925 to Alex and Jesse (Stepp) Combs in Huntington, West Virginia. Russell moved to the Toledo area in 1955 where he met and married his wife Rosella (Skillman) Combs and her 4 children.
In addition to his parents, Russell was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosella and brothers, Alex; Norvelle and Kenneth Combs. He leaves to cherish his memory his nieces; nephews; step grandchildren and brothers, Charles and Shade combs and sisters, Wanda Wolford; Nora Dutridge and Susan Machnicki.
Funeral Services will be private. Interment will be at Toledo Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
