Russell Cox Sr.
Russell G. Cox Sr., age 81, of Toledo, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009.
Survivors include, his loving wife of 38 years, Donna (Prickett) Cox, nine children; Russell (Lenah) Cox Jr., Sally, Steve (Cathy) Cox, Cheryl (Rick) Zattau, Peggy Wagner, Kenny (Jeanne) Dukeshire, Karen (Bill) Ruckreigle, Teri (Tracy) Davis, Michelle (Chris) Krum; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (June) Cox; and sister-in-law, Jean Cox.
Preceding him in death are his parents, brother Ray, and daughter Pamela.
Russell proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He worked for Duff Truck Line for over 30 years, later retiring. Russell was a life-long member of the Local 20 Teamsters. He enjoyed camping, fishing, attending church, woodworking, and most importantly, spending time with his family.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Jerry Craig. Burial will be at a later date in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
