Rudy E. Takacs

September 7, 1980 — September 17, 2024

Toledo, Ohio

Rudy Epifanio Takacs, age 44, of Toledo, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1980 to Emery Takacs and Esmeralda Avalos in Toledo. Rudy graduated in 1998 from Springfield High School. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 55. Rudy had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition. He loved helping others and everyone he met became a friend. Rudy truly had a heart of gold and smile you would never forget.

Rudy loved quality food and trying new restaurants. He was big into technology and could help others with anything. He was everyone’s “Incredible Hulk” and “Gentle Giant”. To the ones who really knew him, he was a big teddy bear and had a love for anything Pumpkin Spice. Rudy had a great sense of humor and always remained a flirt in a respectful way.

Rudy’s favorite thing was being a dad; he loved his son more than anything along with his late pup, Max. The devotion and dedication he had for his family and friends was impeccable. Rudy’s kind heart, infectious smile, warmth and spirit will always be missed by all who knew and loved him. The world lost one of the good ones.

Left to cherish Rudy’s memory are his loving son, Devin Takacs; mom, Esmeralda “Manda” (Abel) Trevino; dad, Emery (Jean) Takacs; sisters, Angel Avalos, Isabel (Ken) Woodard and Selina Avalos; nieces and nephews, Diego Trevino, Serena Woodard, Dominique (Kirsten) Shiple, Victoria Woodard, Isaac Woodard, and Nicholas Johnstone; great-nephew, Gray Okdie; great-niece, Rosie Borton; and several loving cousins, aunts, uncles and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his niece, Marisela Trevino; grandparents, Emery Sr. and Wilma Takacs; and Epifanio and Sarah Avalos; best friend, Josh Altman; and fur baby, Max.
