Ruby Stout, age 77, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. On January 1, 1932 she was born to Hack and Flora Mae (Sweeney) Bentley in Yeager, Kentucky. On November 9, 1983 she married James Stout in Toledo , Ohio. For over 20 years she was a cook and waitress at the former Triangle Restaurant in Toledo. While working at the Triangle Restaurant she enjoyed the friendly atmosphere between her co-workers and the customers. Ruby will be remembered as a loving mother to her children. Survivors include, daughter , Sue Blaylock of Toledo ; two sons, James (Verna) Jones of Willard, Ohio and Ray (Judy) Jones of Toledo; two sisters, Patsy Ann Price of Proctorville, Ohio and Lola Davis of West Virginia; brother, Gilbert Bentley of Toledo; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and she was also very proud of her nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her husband, parents and two brothers, Willie Bentley and Tommy Kent; and best friend for over 50 years, Flossie Kent.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 3-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be her nephew, Deacon David Price. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
