Ruby N. Parker

Ruby N. Parker, resident of Sylvania, OH, passed away on June 26, 2024 at age 94. Born January 12, 1930 in LaFollette, TN. She is survived by her loving sons, Roger (Sharon) Parker, Johnnie Steven (Violet) Parker, and Dale Parker; Ruby also leaves behind her grandchildren, Lisa, Angie, Sarah, Keith, Kari, Steven, Nicole, and Matthew, as well as several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and the family would like to thank Lisa and Evelyn for taking care of Ruby for so many years.

Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, James and Minnie Wells; siblings, Opal, Mary, Earsel, Edward, Milas, Conley, Bobby, Winfred, Carl, and infant sister, Maybell.

Ruby was known for her dedication to her family. She spent many years raising her sons and took great pride in them and her family that continued to grow over the years. She was the rock of the family, as the matriarch, she always made sure that they all remained close. As a devout Baptist, she had a deep love for the Lord, we know she is at peace with the good Lord. Ruby will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. with a funeral service immediately following, at 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home – Southwest Chapel at 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, OH 43614.

Ruby will be laid to rest at Baker’s Forge Cemetery in LaFollette, TN.
