Roy Walters Jr.

Roy Hershel Walters Jr., age 65, of Toledo, passed away November 24, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Roy was born May 27, 1949 in Woodbine, Kentucky to Roy "Red" and Vivian (Lee) Walters. He was employed with the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 50 for more than 30+ years retiring in October 2009. Roy was a member of the Robinson Locke Lodge of the Masonic Temple and he was also very active in Alcoholics Anonymous for 28+ years. Roy's passions included race cars, motorcycles, fishing, and spending time with his family. After his parents passed, Roy enjoyed his retirement in Kentucky farming on his parents land.

In addition to his parents, Roy was also preceded in death by his sister Joyce Ann Hicks. He is survived by his loving wife of thirty seven years, Kathleen M. (Boes) Walters, daughter Laura E. Walters (Craig Willhauck II), daughter Karen (Tom) McGovern, sister Judy Hoehn, grandchildren Kori Walters, Craig III and Tristan Willhauck, and canine companions Bella, Zoey, Cloe, and Dimey.

The family will receive guests Friday, November 28, 2014 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Masonic services will be held at 7:30 pm. Funeral Services will begin Saturday at 10:00 am. in the funeral home followed by burial at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Cancer Foundation or St. Jude's Children's Hospital in Roy's memory.
