Roy W. Schwachenwald


Roy W. Schwachenwald, age 80 of North Baltimore, formally of Toledo, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. He was born December 28, 1924 to Gustave & Elsie (Minke) Schwachenwald, in Toledo. Roy graduated from Devilbiss High School in 1943 & was a WWII US Navy veteran. Roy was employed by the H.J. Heinz Co. as a salesman for many years. He also worked for various food brokers, primarily associated with Seaway FoodTown.

Roy is survived by his daughters: Diana (Bob) Lee, of Perrysburg, Cathy (John) Jambo, of Jacksonville, FL, (formally of Perrysburg); grandchildren: Sandy (Frank) Caroccio, of Jacksonville, FL, Bob Lee, Jr. (Kris Jennings), Kim Lee, all of Perrysburg, Tammy (Mark) Bromley, of Whitehouse; great grandchildren: Frankie Caroccio & Ashley, Mark Bromley; sister: Ruth Krieghoff. Roy was preceded in death by his long time companion Eleanor Bair.

Friends may call at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, (419-473-0300) on Monday April 11, 2005 from 2 – 4 & 6 – 8 p.m. where funeral services will take place on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
