Roy J. Pennington

Roy J. Pennington, age 75, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Friday, December 7, 2012 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born on September 5, 1937 to Pete and Georgia (Meador) Pennington in Pipesteam, West Virginia. Roy was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War. He worked in maintenance for many years before retiring. Roy enjoyed hunting and farming and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Tom Pennington; sister, Opal Meador; and step-brother, Steve Pennington. Roy is survived by his son, Pete Pennington; daughter, Joshlen Ramsey; grandchildren, Sean, Amanda, Jayla and Paige; great-grandchildren, Madalyn and Britton; step-sisters, Linda and Helen; nephews, Alan (Pam) Pennington, Jerry and Gary Goddard; niece, Tina (Ken) Lee; great-nephew, Tom Pennington; and great-niece, Charlotte Pennington.

There will be no visitation or services for Roy per his request. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services.
