Roy B. Peters, Sr.

Roy B. Peters, Sr. age 93, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Ebeid Hospice in Sylvania, Ohio. He was born January 3, 1920 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Issac and Nell (Jarrell) Peters. Roy was an electrician for Electric Maintenance for many years, and a member of the IBEW Local 252. Upon retiring, Roy was an inspector for Henrietta Township, Michigan. He was a man of many traits and enjoyed everyone to the fullest.

Left to cherish his memory are Roy's loving daughters, Mary (Dave) Vollmar, Panzie (Bill) Bean and Eulah Jean (Wayne) Bower; daughter-in-law, Karen Peters; sister, Irma Jean Hamilton; 16 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and several great, great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Leona; sons, Dearl and Roy Jr.; sister, Elsie Mae Lafferty and brothers, Frank, Bill and Issac Jr.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, June 4, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at the First Church of the Nazarene, 3905 Clinton Road, Jackson, Michigan. Roy's final resting place will be next to his wife in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Arrangements by Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo, Ohio (419-473-0300).

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer's Association or Parkinson's Foundation.
