Rose L. Tebbe, age 91, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 9, 2021. She was born February 13, 1930 to Albert and Elma (Ansell) Lietzke. She was a 1948 graduate of Maumee High School where she was a member of the Marching Band, proudly playing the trombone. After high school Rose went on to marry and raise her five children.
Rose was employed with Millers Turnpike Restaurant as well as The Bungalow and Toledo Express Airport. She was a longtime member of the Red Hat Society, an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and enjoyed volunteering at The Friendly Center of Toledo.
Rose was artistic, having a talent in creating various arts and crafts. She had a passion for oil painting nature and mountain scenes. Her paintings are treasured by her family and hang in many of their homes. Rose had an interest in the history and lifestyle of American Indians and enjoyed attending many Pow-wow reenactments.
Rose also spent endless hours working in her garden, dancing and traveling. Some of her most memorable trips were to Hawaii and the Smokey Mountains. While cooking was not a hobby of hers, Rose made the best Mac & Cheese for every family gathering. Many have tried to re-create her recipe but none have come close.
Rose was a loving mother and grandmother cherishing the time she spent with family and friends. She recently had the honor of being "the best flower girl ever" in her granddaughter's wedding which made that day extra special for everyone in attendance.
