Roscoe William Keigley, dear husband, father, and grandfather, 93, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 7th, 2012 at Toledo Hospital.
Roscoe was born on July 17th, 1918 in Watervliet Township, Michigan to the late William and Helen (Yates) Keigley, and grew up on the family farm.
Roscoe was a World War II veteran (Corps of Engineers). He was given a medical discharge in 1943 and was not expected to live long. As always, he clearly exceeded expectations.

Pleasant, Michigan where he worked in the accounting department of the State Home and Training School for the mentally retarded from 1950 until his retirement in 1981.
Roscoe and Alice have lived in Toledo, Ohio for a total of 17 years, and at Swan Creek Retirement Village for the past 6 years.
He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and visiting with friends. He enjoyed gardening, and was a Past Master of the Fraternal Order of Freemasons.
Roscoe will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Alice Jean; by his children, Randall (Vickie), of Green Bay, WI and Blaine (Debbie), of Toledo; his grandchildren, Jessica, Ross and Ian, of Toledo and Benjamin, of Green Bay; as well as other relatives and friends.
A special thank you to Tracy Parsons and all of the other dedicated caregivers and staff from Christian Home Care of Toledo, and also to the staff of Swan Creek Retirement Village of Toledo.
The family will receive guests on Thursday from 3-7:30 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Epworth United Methodist Church, 3077 Valley View Drive, Toledo. Visitation one hour prior to service at church.
