Rosalind M. Peterson

Rosalind M. Peterson, age 79, of Maumee, passed away Thursday, December 9th, 2010 at Heatherdowns Rehabilitaion Care Center. She was born March 5th, 1931 to Thomas Vincent and Agnes Marie (Ford) Wing in Toledo, Ohio. Rosalind was an avid reader, enjoying several different authors. She had an eye for decorating and painting and used her talents when it came to taking care of her home and working out in the yard. Most importantly Rosalind treasured the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Rosalind was preceded in death by her son, Charles Michael Peterson, daughter, Carol Marie Peterson and brothers, George, Donald and Tom Wing. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Carl Clarence Peterson; son, Carl Christian Peterson; granddaughters, Emily and Stephanie, grandson, Jason and great grandsons, Gabriel and Cody, several nieces, nephews, cousins, dear friends and special nephew, Tim and niece, Jennifer.

The family will receive guests Monday from 2-4 and 6-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers of Heatherdowns Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of Northwest Ohio for the loving care and support they provided for Rosalind during her stay.
