Ronald E. Williams, age 77, resident of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, January 20, 2022. He was born on June 6, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Harold and Beatrice (Smith) Williams Sr.
Ronald was a loveable, caring, funny man. He worked for the Toledo Blade for over 20 years, where he delivered newspapers, and enjoyed meeting new people and chatting with everyone. Ronald enjoyed meeting up with friends at the Monroe Street Diner and White Tower. He enjoyed baseball, especially the Detroit Tigers.
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his children, Ronald Williams II and Kim (Tom) Evener; grandchildren, Cassidy (Justin) Salazar, Peyton Williams, and Taylor (Terry) Greulich; three great grandchildren, Terry Jr., Carter, Jeremiah; siblings, Phyllis Waters, Sonny (JoAnn) Williams, Sally Norman, Bob Williams, Carol (Farley) Sumner, and Keith (Patty) Williams; sister-in-law, Marjean Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Judy Williams; daughter, Jennifer Williams; great granddaughter, Ava; and a brother, Bradley Williams.
Family and friends may gather at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, January 31, 2022, from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, with Pastor Rick Ketzenbarger officiating. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ProMedica Hospice.
