Ron Sauvey, age 57, of Erie, Michigan, passed away February 4, 2013 at Toledo Hospital where he was surrounded by his family. Ron was born May 25, 1955 to Donald and Rose-Marie Sauvey in Port Clinton, Ohio.
Ron was a 1973 graduate of Macomber High School. He owned a Truck Repair Service for many years. Ron enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. He was an avid football fan, his favorite teams were the Oakland Raiders and University of Michigan, Wolverines. Most precious to him was spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose-Marie Sauvey and brother, Donald who passed away January 5, 2013. He is survived by his father, Donald Sr. (Jan) Sauvey of Arcadia, FL; daughter, Kelly (Jim) Sorah; sons, Scott (Stephanie) Sims and Peyton (Walker); sister, Renita (Russ) Bradley; brother, Dan (Sharon) Sauvey; sister-in-law, Helen Sauvey; half-brothers, Tom and Tim; half-sister, Cherr'e; grandchildren, Abby, Sophia, Natalie and Madison; many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wilson, Sarah RN and the MICU Staff at Toledo Hospital for their excellent care and compassion shown for Ron and his family.
The family will receive guests on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Timothy Loewe. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
