Ronald W. Kennedy

Ronald W. "Ron" Kennedy, age 56, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 7, 2013 at the Toledo Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 14, 1957 to Alfred and Betty (Freeman) Kennedy in Gary, Indiana. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during the Vietnam War, being honorably discharged. He was a truck driver for many years and was always a very dedicated, hard worker. Ron was employed with Chiefton Contract Services in Flint, MI for 2 years, First Express Toledo for about 4 years and most recently CPC Logistics Walgreens Distribution Center since September 2006. He enjoyed driving his truck, riding his Harley and traveling with his wife. Ron loved nothing more than the time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 11 years, Lisa (Rizor) Kennedy; children, Matt (Cierra) Kennedy, Cassondra (Shane) Kennedy and Twayne Rizor; grandchildren, Devin, Tyler and Dylan; father and mother-in-law, James and Barbara Rizor; brother-in-law, Jesse (Kelly) Guzman; nephew, Gabriel; niece, Denver; former spouse and friend, Carla Kennedy; former mother-in-law, Mary Haynes; Aunt Nan, cousins, Kenneth Kennedy, Rudy (Joe) and Rita; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, November 16, 2013 from 4 – 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
