Ronald Sugg

Ronald "Ron" Sugg, age 81, of Temperance, MI passed away Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He was born on June 14, 1941 to Irvin and Neva Sugg in Toledo, Ohio. Ron graduated from Bedford High School. He worked at General Motors/Powertrain for over 35 years before retiring. Ron was an avid golfer and in retirement he enjoyed working at The Legacy. Throughout the years, Ron and his wife, Pat owned and operated Timeout Lounge in Toledo, Hungry Huey's in Temperance, MI and Frog Leg Inn in Erie, MI. He was very involved and loved playing softball sponsored by the Timeout Lounge. Ron also bowled on many leagues, bowling two, 299 games. He was an avid sports fan, especially of the New York Yankees, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Boston Celtics, Boston Bruins and the L.A. Rams. Ron looked forward to spending time with his family, grandchildren and friends. His smile, spirit, sense of humor and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Darrell, Kevin and Larry Sugg; and nephew, Matt Sugg. Left to cherish Ron's memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Pat Sugg; children, Michael Sugg, Scott (Lisa) Sugg, Trisha (Craig) Marsh, Chad (Lori) Sugg and Shaunna Sugg; grandchildren, Bradley, Madeline "Maggie", Ellie, and Bryson; siblings, Rick (Nancy) Sugg, Jim (Judy) Sugg, and Judy Sugg; sisters-in-law, Barb Sugg and Barb Sugg; granddog, Cody; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

There will be a Celebration of Life to honor Ron at a later date. Details will follow. Newcomer Funeral Home – Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
