Ronald L. Rasey, Sr.

Ronald L. Rasey, Sr., age 57, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Ebeid Hospice Residence with his loving wife Barbara by his side. He was born on March 28, 1964 to LeRoy and Mary (Merritt) Rasey in Toledo, OH. Ron was a 1982 graduate of Springfield High School. He went on to continue his education at the University of Toledo. Ron was active in sports playing football and baseball in high school and remaining an avid fan throughout his life. Currently he was employed with ProMedica as a Processing Engineer for many years, something he was very proud of. Ron loved spending time with his loving wife and family. He also enjoyed fishing, and the outdoors. Ron was very into weight lifting; it was a passion of his. He was a member of Faith Bible Baptist Church and loved serving the Lord. Ron's smile, spirit and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lawrence and Margaret Merritt; father-in-law, Robert Steward; sister-in-law, Rita Steward; and canine companion, Shiloh Rasey. Left to cherish Ron's memory are his loving wife of 23 years, Barbara Rasey; son, Ronald L. Rasey, Jr; future-daughter-in-law, Jennifer Lee; step-son, Holden Gallagher; mother, Mary Rasey; mother-in-law, Audrey Steward-King; sister, Kathy Brewer; brother, Randy Rasey; nieces, Katie, Sarah, and Kara Brewer; and many dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, August 14, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Faith Bible Baptist Church, 232 N. McCord Rd., Toledo, OH 43615 with Memorial Services beginning at 12:00 p.m. in church.

In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Faith Bible Baptist Church in honor of Ron.
