Ronald Murphy

Ronald "Ron" Murphy, age 83, of Toledo, formerly of Belvedere Dr., passed away Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Parkcliffe Communities. He was born on September 5, 1928 to Walter and Hazel (Stoner) Murphy in Toledo. Ron was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country proudly during WWII. He was employed with Mid-States Grain for over 32 years before retiring. Ron then went to work at Avis Car Rental at the Toledo Airport, retiring after 20 years of service there. He loved to travel, fish and listen to Irish music. Ron loved photography and was excellent at it, even developing his own photographs. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Raymond Murphy. Ron is survived by his loving wife of almost 64 years, Delores (Murray) Murphy; daughters, Sharon (Ben) Boyer, Shirley (Charles) Loar, Donna (Mike) Browning and Amy (Glenn II) Teems; grandchildren, Carly (Eric) Burke, Eric (Wendy) Ladd, Glenn, III (Sarah) Teems and Amanda (Kyle) Lee; and great- grandchildren, Alex, Austin, Madison, Justin, Michael, Melissa, Nathaniel and Logan.

There will be no visitation for Ron. A Memorial Mass will take place, Saturday, July 21st, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns, 4201 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio 43614. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-381-1900) assisted the family with professional services. Inurnment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
