"Skipper"
Ronald L. LaBrecque, Jr., known as Skipper, left this world on Friday, November 7, 2008 at the age of 50. Born September 23, 1958 to Ronald and Patricia (Griffith) LaBrecque, Sr., he was the youngest of six children. After working in the Horse Racing Industry for many years and traveling to various states with his work, Ron settled in Florida for a few years before moving back to Toledo in 2001. He was employed by Progressive Sweeping and was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Indians and The Ohio State Buckeyes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest sister, Karen (LaBrecque) Davis. Ron is survived by his sisters, Kathy (Rick) Segrist, of Toledo, Debi (Ron) Duvall, of Cocoa, Florida and Luanne LaBrecque, of Toledo; brother, Dennis (Sue) LaBrecque, of Toledo; nieces, Julie (Steve), Melissa (Aaron), Jennifer, Kacie and Alyvia; nephews, Jason, Nicolas and Adam; and his beloved cat, Pause Button.
The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
