Ronald J. Horner

Ronald J. "Ronnie" Horner, age 46, of Toledo, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. He was born December 29, 1962 to Richard and Phyllis (Renfro) Horner in Toledo. Ronnie was a graduate of Woodward High School. He was previously employed at Libbey Glass. Ronnie loved working on boats and repairing things. He was an avid NASCAR fan and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Ronnie is survived by his sons, Brandon and Josh Horner; father, Richard (Joan) Horner; sisters, Victoria Heilman, Linda (Butch) Spain, Susan Morowski, Cathy (Gary) Rochte, Cindy (Don) Dudley, Mary (David) Danielak, Pat (Tim) Ricard, Barbara (Chris) Edwards and Jennifer Horner; brothers, Robert (Pam) Horner, Andy (Bonnie) Davis and Joe (Annette) Davis; mother of his children, Sharon Horner; lifelong best friend, Randy Raitz; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Horner, Jr.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, U.S. 20 at St. Route 64, Swanton, at 11:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior. Officiating will be Fr. Ron Schock. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery.
