Ronald D. Eichenlaub

Ronald D. "Ron" Eichenlaub, age 67, of Toledo, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. He was born on December 19, 1946 to Frederick Eichenlaub and Virginia (Myers) in Detroit, Michigan. Ron worked for Amtrak for 22 1/2 years with his last position as General Foreman. He was also a Mason, member of the Findlay Lodge.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Cathy (Escott) Eichenlaub; children, Brandon (Lisa) Macklenar, Tiffany (Daniel) Carlberg and Melissa (Steve) Henson; grandchildren, Tony, D.J., Katie, Aryanna and Melania; one expected great-grandchild; step-father, Leland Waltz; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Eichenlaub (of PA); mother, Virginia Waltz (of Ohio); brothers, Larry (of OH) and Keith Eichenlaub (of PA); sister, Elaine Walters (of PA).

The family will receive guests on Saturday, July 19, 2014 from 1-3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Memorial Services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio and the Cherry Street Mission.
