Rolland Williams

Rolland D. Williams, age 80 of Toledo, passed away Friday, August 13th, 2010 at The University of Toledo Medical Center. He was born September 7th, 1929 to Frank and Elma (Frieheit) Aderman in Toledo, Ohio. Rolland married Patty Marcele (Herring) Williams on June 18th, 1955 in Bowling Green, Ohio and she survives.

Rolland worked at AP Parts for 31 years, holding numerous positions through the years. He proudly served his county in the United States Navy and was a member of VFW Post 3265, North Point. Rolland enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Erie with friends and family, watching Nascar, black and white photography, reading and astronomy.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Patty Williams; children, Robert Allen, Ronald (Cindy) and Randy Williams; grandchildren, Robert Allen Jr., "Robbie Jr.," Renee, Lindsay, Jimmy, Heather, Ronny and Randy Paul II and six great-grandchildren; brother, George Williams and sister, Pearl Christenson. Preceding him in death are his parents, daughter, Rhonda Sue and son, Rodney Lee.

The family will receive guests Wednesday from 6-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Celebration of Life will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home, followed by Military Services.
