Roger Thomas Reed

Roger Thomas Reed, age 85, of Maumee, OH, passed away April 4, 2022. He was born March 6, 1937 in Toledo, OH, to Clifford and Margaret (Burson) Reed.
As a child Roger learned to tap dance and sing with his mother, who was a church organist. Roger was always quite artistic and studied commercial art at Macomber Vocational, from which he graduated in 1955. After graduation he helped to design window displays while working for Sears in downtown Toledo. With a growing family he took an opportunity to become a machinist working for a variety of manufacturers until he retired. At home he tended to a large garden, loved any kind of brain teaser, and was a voracious reader who soaked in any science fiction novel to come his way.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Patricia. He is survived by his four sons, Timothy (Susan), Eric, Mark (Jennifer) and Steven (Ellen) Reed; and eight grandchildren, Benjamin, Michelle, Ryan, Kelsi, Olivia, Corinne, Robert, and Audrey Reed.
