Roger D. Key, age 58, went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2018. He was born on November 30, 1959 in Toledo, Ohio.
Roger worked as a Welder at Chrysler for many years. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. His greatest accomplishment was providing for and raising his two children. Roger was the "rock" for his family and looked after his sisters and protected his brothers.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Jonathan (Shannon) Key and Jamie (Jeff) Halferty; siblings, Kenneth Key, Melinda Filipovich, Brenda (Fred) Pleitz and Loretta Street; grandchildren, Kelsey, Jordan, Kayla, Justin, Jayden, Madison and Kenady; one great-grandchild on the way. Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Joann and Truman Key; step-mother, Shirley; brothers, Danny and Walter.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, August 30, 2018 from 4-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer – SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
