Roger F. Bennett, passed peacefully, Monday, April 27, 2015, at home, under Hospice Care. His loving wife was by his side.
He was born on December 31, 1931 to Kenneth and Helen (Schwemer) Bennett in Jackson, Michigan. Roger is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Helen F. Bennett and many nieces, nephews, cousins and sister-in-laws and one brother-in-law.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Delta Nu Alpha, a professional transportation fraternity, as well as the Toledo Transportation Club. Roger worked for over 32 years as a sales representative with many different trucking companies. He was a gardener at heart and loved growing tomatoes and sharing them with friends and neighbors. Roger loved sports and in his younger days was an excellent bowler. Golfing and swimming were the activities he loved the most.
There will be no visitation or services, per his wishes. The Newcomer Funeral Home, N W Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
