Roberto Ribas

Roberto Ribas, (Dukie), passed away at home unexpectedly on May 8th, 2021. He was born on October 24th, 1966 in Toledo, OH to Rudolfo Quinonez and Beatrice Corral. Married to Maria Ribas, with whom he spent the last 8 years of his life. Roberto, who also went by Chino to some, was an outstanding fighter and an exceptional hard worker. Strong, brave and a real man's man with a big heart. He loved to watch a good movie, grill out and make big breakfasts for his loved ones. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and friends, to which he had more than an abundance of. He was well known to be extremely loyal and incredibly loved by everyone who knew him.

Roberto is survived by his mother Beatrice Corral; his wife Maria Ribas; his son Roberto, a.k.a. Papi, Ribas Jr. & daughter-in-law Moriah Ribas to whom gave him his first grandchild; his son Emilio Ribas; stepchildren Emali Adkins, Bridget Dempsey and Carolyn Adkins; Godchildren Danielle Ribas and DeAna Parras; siblings Jesse Martinez, Santiago Martinez, Antonio (Julie) Rivas, Ricardo Rivas, Maria Ribas and Andrea (John) Ribas. As well as, Andrea Garcia, Rudolfo Quinonez Jr., Maria Avalos, Rosario & Jose Quinonez. Along with his close and special nephew "Little Tony" Ribas and so many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.

His memory also live's on by his dearest friends whom he considered his family, Ruben Vargas, Roberto Jamie and Robert Montez.

Roberto is proceeded in death by his father Rudolfo Quinonez and his closest primo Michael Vargas.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, on Friday May 14th from 2-8pm. For the safety of the Ribas family, masks are required along with social distancing. For those of you joining us in procession, we will be leaving at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 15, 2021, and an outside service will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery at 11:00 am.
