Roberta L. Brock

Our beautiful guardian angel, Roberta L. "Bobbie" Brock, age 83, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the Franciscan Care Center. She was born on January 18, 1930 to Arthur and Evelyn (Richard) Lewis in Canton, Mississippi. Bobbie enjoyed singing hymns and was a wonderful homemaker, loving to cook and bake. She and her husband use to enjoy going to Sunrise Bakery in Blissfield, Michigan with their grandchildren. Bobbie loved nothing more than the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Valerie Brock; sisters, Maureen Sterling, Betty Wagner, Helen Lewis, Virginia Welch and Thelma Mercer; and brothers, Glen and Lynn Lewis. Bobbie is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, James "Jim" Brock; children, Gary (Nancy) Brock, Stephen Brock, Jill (Bryan) Tilden and Donald (Emily Michalak) Brock; grandchildren, Steven (Angel), Teresa (Michael), Amber (Larry), Misty (Dave), Julie (Leon), Jaxon and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Mahryssa, Ivory, Skyla, Mariah, Kaylie, Johnathan, Starrlynn, Ambraih, Jazzy, Michael, Larry I., Zoe, Greeley and Rigby; sisters Velma Davis and Ruth (Jack) Smith; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family would like to give a special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, the Franciscan Care Center and to Dr. Judith Furlong and her staff at Flower Hospital 8th floor for all of their love, care and support given to Bobbie and her family through this difficult time.
