Robert Zimmerman

Robert Zimmerman of Oscoda, MI, died on December 14, 2007 at the Aspen Grove Care Center in Lambertville, MI. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Oak Park, Illinois. His school years were spent in Eaton Rapids, MI and Ferris State University. He worked as a supervisor at the University of Michigan Computer Center for 25 years and lived in Whitmore Lake, MI. Boating, fishing and bird watching were among his many hobbies.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Leona Zimmerman and brothers, John and George. His survivors are his sister, Nancy Drake; sister-in-law: Gail Zimmerman; nephews and nieces: Stephen Drake, John, James and Brian Zimmerman, Julia Strode and Cathryn Drake.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 3, 2008 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2 – 3:00 p.m. with the Memorial Service beginning at 3:00 p.m.
