Robert Wood

Robert "Bob" Wood, 85, passed away peacefully on July 6th, 2011. He was born on February 24th, 1926 to the late Estella and Arthur Wood in Toledo, Ohio.

Bob retired from Jeep after 44 years of service. He enjoyed traveling, especially going on cruises with family and friends. Bob was a hard-worker, he liked spending time in the garden and working on his home. He was a generous man and took great pride in everything that he did. Bob was also a Veteran of the Navy, he served in the Pacific during WWII.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Robert Wood, Jr. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 63 years, Margaret; son, Roland Wood; two sisters; one brother and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 5-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Rev. Eric Slack officiating. Interment in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, employee and friend. He will be greatly missed.
