Robert "Bob" Joseph Wholehan, age 94, of Toledo passed away on September 10. He was born on July 5, 1924, son of the late George and Mary (Wally) Wholehan. Bob attended St. Joseph Grade School and graduated from Academy High School in Erie, PA. He attended Gannon College in Erie for a year and then joined the Marine Corp. in 1943, serving our country for four years in the Pacific during WWII. He later completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He married Anna Mary Luke on August 30, 1947. Bob was employed by Chevrolet Motor Division of General Motors Corporation in various sales and executive positions over his 30-year career with the company. He was later employed with Manheim Auto Auctions in Manheim, PA and Atlanta, GA. He was active with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, and his local homeowners' association. He enjoyed teaching Math to adults obtaining their G.E.D. in the Atlanta area. He also enjoyed walking, reading, and taking Adult Enrichment classes in the Atlanta and Toledo areas. Bob was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church in Roswell, GA.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Anna Mary. He is survived by his sister, Frances Williams, sons Michael (Regina) and James (Janet) Wholehan, daughter Amy (Michael) Wholehan Coulter, ten grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
