Robert W. Rohr

Robert W. Rohr, age 78, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 22nd, 2011 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. He was born November 27th, 1932 to Harvey and Pauline (Rogers) Rohr in Toledo. Robert was a graduate of Clay High School. He married Fern B. Ellsworth on February 28th, 1953 and spent many wonderful years together. Robert worked for the family business, Rohr Fish Market for several years and retired from Lake Front Docks in 1998 after 30 years of service. He was also a Union Representative for the Longshoreman. Robert enjoyed being a Scout Master of Troop #196 at Monac Elementary School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Ann Bigelow. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Fern B. (Ellsworth) Rohr; children, Keith (Susan) Rohr, Mark (Jeannette) Rohr, David (Mary) Rohr, Kathleen Rohr and Renee (Mark) Jones; grandchildren, Brian, Dustin, Ashley, Erica, Samantha, Isaac, Grant and Lily; step grandchildren, Nick, Laura, Matia and Patrick; great grandchildren, Jackson, Brodie and Gavin; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Sandy Ellsworth, Geraldine and Rich Myers and Christine Rutkowski and many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will receive guests Tuesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.
