Robert L. Smith

Robert L. "Bob" Smith, age 70, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017 at home where he was surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 11, 1946 in Toledo. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 1966-1969. He retired after 31 years of service from GM PowerTrain. Bob was a lifetime member of the VFW #2898 and American Legion, #265. A few of Bob's passions were camping, golfing and rooting for his Buckeye's!

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Karren Smith; 3 step-daughters; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters and one brother.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, May 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). VFW #2898 will be providing Military and Auxiliary Services in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
