Robert S. Szczublewski

Robert S. "Bob" Szczublewski, age 81, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania. He was born to Steven and Martha (Kujawa) Szczublewski in Toledo. Bob was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Libbey Owens Ford after 30 plus years of services. Most important to Bob was taking care of his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved sports, he was an avid Lions, Tigers and Ohio State Buckeye fan.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 56 years, Ginny (Hughes) Szczublewski; children, Steve (Wendy) Szczublewski, Greg (Nancy) Szczublewski, Cheryl (Dave) Thomas and Bob (Angela) Szczublewski; grandchildren, Steven, Alysha, Ryan, Corey, Kyle, Casey, Nicole, Michael, Samantha and Haley; special pup, Kodi; brothers, Larry and Jim Szczublewski and sister, MaryAnn Jan; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Szczublewski.

The family will receive guests on Friday, February 14, 2014 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Friday at 7:00 p.m. There will be a Memorial Mass held for Bob on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Noon (12:00 p.m.) at Christ the King Church, 4100 Harvest Lane. Friends are invited to join the family.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Rosary Care Center, 6832 Convent Blvd, Sylvania or Promedica Ebeid Hospice.
