Robert S. Powell

Robert S. Powell, age 72, of Temperance, MI, passed away Friday, October 10, 2008 at Spring Meadows Extended Care Facility, Holland. He was born on March 23, 1936 to Stanley and Emma (Baughey) Powell in Toledo. Robert was a jack of all trades, very talented in anything he put his hands on. He also loved animals. Robert will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John and Stanley Powell and sister, Patricia Lee Powell. Robert is survived by his siblings, Joyce J. Michaels, Janet (Jack) Gorka, Shirley (David) Perkins, Judy Lyons, Barbara Barlow, Joan (Herbert) Baker and Fred Powell; a host of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 3 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300) with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. Prayer Services will begin Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 3030 Tremainsville Rd. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
