Robert Ray Hensley

Robert Ray Hensley, age 71, of Toledo, passed away Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 14th, 1938 to Doc and Genevieve (Griffith) Hensley in Phelps, Kentucky. Robert was a U.S. Air Force veteran serving his country proudly and was employed with Teledyne for 34 years. Robert was also a longtime member and caretaker at First Apostolic Church. He enjoyed golfing and was a member of Deme Acres Golf Course in Petersburg, Michigan. Robert was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family and his beloved pets.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jo (Hunt) Hensley; sons, L A (Erica) Hunt and Michael (Shelia) Hensley; stepsons; Chuck (Vickie) and T.J. (Cheryl) Hunt; grandchildren, Courtney Hunt; Amber Hunt; Micah Hensley; Charlie Hunt and Mariah Hensley. Robert is also survived by 2 siblings and several close friends.

The family will receive guests Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10-11:00 a.m. at First Apostolic Church, 5701 Sylvania Ave. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
