Robert Miles

Robert L. Miles, age 88, of Toledo, passed away, Monday, January 14, 2008 at Arbors of Sylvania. He was born on April 28, 1919 to Carl and Nell (Stafford) Miles in Claytown, Tennessee. Robert was employed with Daimler Chrysler, most recently as a Supervisor, until retiring after 43 years. He was a member of the UAW Local 12 and the Eagles, Jackman Rd. Robert loved nothing more than spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Norm Miles. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 28 years, Naomi Miles; daughter-in-law: Christine Miles; granddaughters: Kerry Bonneau, Kimberly (John) Antush and Kendra (Mike) Morgan; great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Miles, Anthony Antush and Alyssa and Jake Morgan; sister: Grace (Bruce) Twigg; special niece: Jan Twigg; brothers: Ray (Mickie) and Al Miles; son: Eddie Sundermier-Miles and his children, Jason, Brent and Gwen and their children; special dog: Fifi; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Friday, January 18, 2008 in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) from 2 – 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday at Bedford Christian Community Assemblies of God, 1655 W. Temperance Rd., Temperance, MI from 10:00 a.m. until services begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
