Robert M. "Bob" Matney

Robert M. Matney, age 92, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2024. Robert was born October 11, 1931, in Waynesboro, Tennessee, to the late James and Elvie (Dunavant) Matney.

Robert proudly served in the United States Army. He retired from Jeep after 30 long and dedicated years. Robert liked being outdoors where he would fish, go squirrel hunting, and tending to his garden. Robert will be missed by all who knew him. This isn’t goodbye, but we will see you again!

Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Betty Matney; step-son, Douglas Andrews; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, William and Kenneth; and step-children, James and Katherine Andrews.

Family and friends may visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, Toledo, Ohio 43623, on Monday, June 3, 2024, from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the funeral home, at 10:00 am. Following services, Robert will be laid to rest at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
