Robert "Bobby" Lopez
Robert "Bobby" Lopez, age 40, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend passed away Thursday, September 9th, 2004 in NW Ohio Hospice, Toledo after a courageous battle with cancer. Bobby was born October 18, 1963 to Joseph and Mariana (Reyes) Krupa in Toledo. He attended Glenwood Elementary School and Start High School. Bobby worked for Jeep as well as doing some landscaping. He also acted as a caregiver. Bobby enjoyed all kinds of sports but his favorite was basketball. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. A very loving, caring and outgoing man, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. The memories Bobby leaves for his family are most precious to them. He was a blessing in their lives and he will always be in their hearts.
Bobby was preceded in death by many loving family members. He is survived by his loving son, Humberto "Nick"; parents, Joe and Mariana (Reyes) Krupa of Toledo; sisters, Anna (Domingo) Ponce; Rose (Dennis) Spaulding of Lambertville, MI.; Hilda Lopez; Veronica Gonzales; Bertha (Steve) Moreland; Lisa (Randy) Clay and Katherine Krupa, all of Toledo; brothers, Jose (Lynn) Lopez of Sylvania and Fernando (Laura) Lopez of Houston, TX.; 13 nieces; 9 nephews; 3 great nieces and 4 great nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his many aunts; uncles; cousins and dear friends.
The family will receive guests Sunday from 2-8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). There will be a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday. Funeral Services will begin Monday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 728 South St. Clair St. with an hour of visitation prior. Officiating will be Fr. Richard Notter. Interment will follow in Historic Woodlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a college trust fund for his son Nick at any Key Bank under the name of The Roberto.
The family would like to thank NW Ohio Hospice and all Bobby's family members for the love, kindness and support. And a special thank you to his guardian angel, his niece Teresa Lopez for being there day and night since August. We love you.
