Robert L. Lewis, age 85, passed away on August 24, 2018. He was born on April 26, 1933 to the late Florence and Ervell Lewis in Toledo, Ohio.
Bob retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as an Engineer after 47 years. He was a lifelong fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and loved the Cleveland Browns. Bob enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. His family will miss his stories about visiting Lewiston, Michigan with his brothers and family.
Bob was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Nancy (Foster) Lewis; Son, Ronald Lewis; Daughter, Deborah Chevalier and Brothers, Ervell Jr."Skip", Don and Dave.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Bob Lewis, Cheryl (Bob) Shockey, Randy (Jill Dibling) Lewis, Lucille (Mark) Bowlick, Jenny Lewis and Jodi (Joe) Gordon; siblings, Bruce (Darlene), Mike (Elithe) and Martha (Fred) Watson; Sister-in-law, Sharon Lewis; Grandchildren, Tiffany, Christopher, Leigh, Tommy, Fritz, Lou and Lorenzo; Great-grandchildren, Alexis, Haley "Bug", Karis, Kyndra, Chloe, C.J. and Easton.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 from 2-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
