Robert "Two Beer Bob" Arndt
Robert Arndt, age 59, passed away after a short battle with cancer. Bob left us silently early Sunday morning at Ebeid Hospice. A graduate of Whitmer High School, he went on to work for Reece Brothers as a litho-stripper. Due to health reasons, Bob took an early retirement. There after, he filled his days with his love for Mustangs ultimately restoring three to Concours standards. He could often be seen proudly exhibiting at local car shows. If you asked him he would probably tell you his best experience was taking a few laps around the track at MIS, though a day fishing was always also a pleasure for him. Bob was always quick to help a friend and will be missed by many. The last project he was working on was growing his hair long to donate for making wigs for children that had lost theirs in their battle with cancer. Bob will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bob is survived by his sister, Susan; brother Melvin; and many other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family will receive guests on Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
The family requests donations be made to cancer research.
