Robert James "Bob" Bialecki, age 68, of Holland, passed away suddenly, Wednesday June 18, 2008 in his home. He was born on September 4, 1939 to Albert and Frances (Langlois) Bialecki in Toledo. Bob was a member of the UAW Local 12. He was employed with Joseph's Supermarket for many years then went on to work at Bartley's Food Warehouse for 19 years until they closed and then most recently at Johnson Controls until 2000 when he was forced to retire due to health reasons. Bob was an avid fisherman, loving to fish any chance he got whether it be with is family or by himself. He often enjoyed attending Springfield Township Trustees Meetings. Bob was respected by many and often asked for advice in personal matters and difficult situations. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Stephen A. Bialecki who passed away in October of 2007. Bob is survived by his loving wife of almost 42 years, Diana Lee (Smelser) Bialecki; sons, Timothy L., Dennis B. and Ronald J. (Sandy) Bialecki; grandchildren, Holly, Tim Jr., Abraham, Crystal, Chrissy, Tiffiny, Heather, Nicole, Sammy and Aleshia; sister, Margaret (Kenneth) Sigler; special uncles, Louie (Kay) and Chuck (Betty) Langlois; special cousins, Elaine "My Daughter" (Andy) Aranyosi; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The family is inviting friends and relatives to say goodbye to Bob on Saturday and Sunday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Mike Fortune. Entombment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

He was a wonderful man who taught respect, work ethic and family values to name a few. He was very knowledgeable and always had a trait or skill to pass on. Because of him, we are who we are today.
