Robert J. Chester II, age 60, of Toledo, passed away Sunday, April 3rd, 2011. He was born on August 15, 1950.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Amy; daughters, Michelle L. Chester, Kelly L. (Jimmy) McCune, Christa M. (Adam) Jiamachello; sister, Barbara A. Chester; grandchildren, Beth, Julie, Angel, Kate, Josh, Morgan, Jimmy; special friends, Renee and Angie; several nieces and nephews and many other family members and friends.
Bob was a realtor in Toledo for over 25 years. He was very active in the Knights of Columbus; he was a Grand Knight and the Hall Manager for Council 3122 on Secor Road. He enjoyed partying with his children and his friends and playing with his grandchildren. He liked to go to his son-in-laws sprint car races with his daughter, Kelly. Bob will always be remembered for keeping everyone around him "young at heart." He was always there to "save the day" for anyone he knew or just met. Bob, Bobbo, Papa, you will be tremendously missed. "Here's to you!" WE LOVE YOU.
The family will receive guests Tuesday from 5-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). A Knights of Columbus Service will be Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral Services will begin Thursday at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Resurrection beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Christ the King, 4100 Harvest Lane. Father Bill officiating.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, American Cancer Society or to the Donor's favorite charity.
