Robert "Bob" Martin Howald, 65, of Swanton, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2022. Bob was born June 14, 1956 in Toledo, Ohio to John and Betty (Molnar) Howald.
He graduated from DeVilbiss High School in 1974. Bob was a loyal employee of Jeep in Toledo for 40 years before his retirement. Bob enjoyed everything about the outdoors - hunting, fishing, gardening, outdoor festivals, morel mushroom hunting and more.
He was an ever present husband, father and grandpa, whose life revolved around his wife, daughter, and three grandsons. Bob looked forward to and treasured the times he spent with his grandsons, especially fishing on "Uncle Joe's Boat" or anywhere fish could be found. He might have been hiding behind a tree, but he was always present at the boy's sporting events watching them from afar. Bob was an amazing cook and enjoyed spending hours in the kitchen and sharing his creations with others. He was a man of few words and when he did speak it was usually witty and sarcastic or just a big hug and kiss. Bob will be dearly missed by family and friends, especially all the great friends at Krieger's Pub and the "Friday Night Brew Crew".
Bob is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 37 years, Shelly; daughter, Sarah; grandchildren, Anthony, Mario, and Skyler; siblings, Sandra (David) Roberts, Linda (Joe) Zaciewski; Jeff Howald, Jim (Anne) Howald, Joe Howald; brother-in-law, Jeff Links; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear family friends, Donna and Andrew Okoroski.
