Robert Hobbs

Robert H. "Bob" Hobbs, age 71, of Toledo, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo. Robert was born May 30, 1942 in Coeburn, Virginia to Everett and Evelyn (Mays) Hobbs. For 30 years, Bob worked in the management department at City Auto. Following City Auto he worked various other jobs in Toledo before retiring in 2011. He was an avid Detroit Tigers and Ohio State Buckeyes fan, never missing a game.

In addition to his parents, Robert was also preceded in death by his former wife and mother of his children, Judithann, brother, Ronnie; sister in law, Sharon, brother in law, Junior and former mother in law, Aggie. Left to cherish his memory are his children, daughter, Tammy (Scott) Eighmey and son, Stacy Hobbs; siblings, Joyce Bailey, Bill Hobbs, Brenda (Barry) Elder, Barbara (Bill) Bailey, Gale (Joseph) Hulderman and Albert (Tina) Hobbs; grandchildren, Kirsten Martens, Callie Eighmey and KelliAnn Hobbs; Great-Grandson, Carter Hobbs and his canine buddies, CoCo and Sandy.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Toledo Area Humane Society or to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
