Robert Hinz, age 64, passed away peacefully to join his Higher Power. He was born on June 18, 1951 to the late Phyllis and Franklin Hinz in Holland, Ohio.
Bob worked for Toledo Edison for 20 years. He was a member of AA for 17 years at Sunday Morning Sunshine. Bob loved to fish, hunt and golf. He dedicated and devoted his life to helping others. Bob was a man of Faith and deeply loved his family and his AA family. Everyone will remember him for being kindhearted, gentle, open-handed, inspirational and unbiased. Please help carry on his legacy to "love thy neighbor."
Left to cherish Bob's memory are his children, Bobbilyn (Craig) Long, Scott (Brenda), Matthew (Kathy) and Debbie (Aaron) White; brothers, Frank (Gail), Larry (Julie) and Richard (Debbie); grandchildren, Tyler, Taylee, Maddeline, Audrianna and Bradie. Special thanks to life-long friend, Linda.
The family would also like to thank Dr. Alkhalili and staff at St. Anne's Hospital, and his brothers and sisters of AA for their care and compassion.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Springfield Twp. Cemetery.
