Robert A. Herwat

Robert A. Herwat, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on October 16, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born on December 19, 1941, in Toledo, to the late Ollie Herwat and Salome (Kasprzak) Rozanski.
Robert graduated from Macomber High School, class of 1959. He had worked as a postal worker, in Toledo, for 35 years. A man of faith, he was an active member of Christ The King. Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His smile and love will forever be missed by all who knew him. It's not goodbye, it's see you later…
Those left to forever cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kathleen (Dymarkowski) Herwat, whom he married on October 19, 1963; children, Rob (Marlene) Herwat, Kenny Herwat and Kari Gregg; grandchildren, Andrew, Brittany, Ciera, Mariah, Cameron and Kaleigh; and sister, Sue Valdez.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dianne Main.
Family and friends may gather at Christ the King, 4100 Harvest Ln, Toledo, OH 43623, on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 9:30 am until the time of Mass at 10:30 am, with Fr. Dave Nuss officiating. A private family burial will take place at a later date at Calvary Cemetery.
